I'm not interested in what happens. I'm interested in the silence right before it does.
Lena Vos works in long takes and natural light, building tension through what the frame withholds. Her features have premiered at Venice, Telluride and the BFI London Film Festival, and her commercial work spans fashion houses and independent labels.
She shoots almost everything herself — a director who refuses to hand the camera away. The result is a body of work that feels less directed than overheard.
Currently developing her third feature, an adaptation set across two winters on the Belgian coast.
